The BA (Hons.) Program

The Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Journalism and Mass Communication is a three year, six semester, full-time, campus-based program, with a view to impart the students an in-depth academic base and hands-on skills in Journalism and Mass Communications so that they can build a career in fields like Journalism, Advertising, Media Management, Event Management, Public Relations etc.

Eligibility

  • Pass in 10+2 in any discipline with 40% and above aggregate marks.
  • Students awaiting results also can apply.

Elective

During the 5th and 6th semesters, students are exposed to elective courses in the respective field of specialization. These elective courses provide an understanding of the specialized focus fields. Each student is required to select four elective courses out of a basket of courses in areas like Print Media, New Generation Media, Advertising and Public Relations.

Award of Degree

Successful students will receive the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication, subject to University Regulations.

The BA (Hons.) Program covers 34 courses spread over 3 years, in 6 semesters, besides soft skills labs, IT labs, Media labs, Project and Summer Internship.
