Industry-Academia Partnership
- In recognition of the dire need for Industry-Academia Partnership for mutual benefit, the University puts in concerted efforts to build and nurture partnerships with the industry.
- These initiatives helped in making the University’s curricula of all programs contemporary, taking into account technological developments and the changing requirements of the industry and the society.
Following initiatives are taken by ICFAI University, Jharkhand to nurture the partnership with industry
Seminars
ICFAI University, Jharkhand conducts seminars in association with industry associations like Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) on industry relevant topics (like Skill Conclave in Ranchi in association with CII).
Industry-Academia Interface
ICFAI University, Jharkhand conducts Industry-Academia Interface events wherein industry leaders and the University discuss the issues and concerns faced and work out plan of action to address them.
Guest lectures by industry personel
to ICFAI University, Jharkhand students so that the students can understand the corporate perspectives.
Continuing Education programs
in order to reskill / enhance skills of the practising managers , ICFAI University, Jharkhand conducts Management Development Programs in areas like Financial Intelligence for professional Growth
and effective Healthcare Management, in association with Industry associations like Indian Hospital association. The industry associations (like NHRDN) take the professional help of ICFAI University, Jharkhand to judge the participants in competitions like Case Study competition. ICFAI University, Jharkhand has built an active association with Institution of Engineers, wherein VC of the University was invited to be the key note speaker on Engineers Day celebrations.
Recently ICFAI University, Jharkhand became a Member of Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS).
Industry Council
In order to build a continuous and sustainable interface with industry, with a view to improve employability of the students, the University constituted an Industry Council
which consists of experienced professionals from diverse industries and Alumni of the University .Membership for the Industry Council is by invitation from the University.
The Role of the Industry Council is advisory in nature ,with following functions:
- To review the programs/courses offered by the University and suggest any new programs/courses that may be added from employability perspective.
- To review the curriculum for various programs offered by the University and suggest changes that may be needed from industry perspective
- To review skills imparted by the University ( technical/functional/soft skills) and advise on changes that may be needed
- To advise the University on how to improve its interface with industry
- Any other matters that may be in the interests of the students of the University
